Yes, I'm an old guy, a Grampa, a Great-Grampa, a 'Geezer' if you will, and proud of it!
I'm a Former USMC 0311/2531 Grunt/Combat Radio Operator, Vietnam Combat Veteran 1969-70. I served with Echo Co. 2nd Bat. 3rd Marines and Fox Co. 2nd Bat. 7th Marines In-Country.
My stateside duty; Cross Country Brig Chaser MCSC (Marine Corps Supply Center), Barstow CA. Naval Ammunition Depot Waikele Branch, Hawaii. Marine Barracks Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
My actiive duty service in the USMC was 1969-73, +2 years inactive reserve. I received an Honorable Discharge in 1975.
Cisco Systems Support Analyst. Medically retired (PTSD) in 2005.
My channel is dedicated to all the Grunts past, present, and future. As a tribute, my mission is to raise awareness of the important role they play in our national security, of which they are the core and 'The tip of the spear...'! My other goal is to keep their memory alive, especially those that died during and after conflict.
Semper Fraternitatis = Always Brothers
In the U.S. military, the slang term among both Marine and Army infantrymen for themselves is "Grunt.". The infantry is a close-knit community, and the slang names are terms of endearment that convey mutual respect and shared experiences.
I've been a gamer since the 1980's, yes it's true! I'll never stop.
Thanks for being here!

This is a charity that I support, having lost two close family members to 'Blood Cancer':
I lost my daughter Colleen on 23JAN13 to a rare form of Leukemia called AML. She was 35.
I lost the love of my life, my wife of 43 years, Sheela, on 12NOV17 to Lymphoma (DLBCL). She was 61 years young.
If you buy stuff on Amazon you can support LLS by choosing that charity in the (click =>) Amazon Smile Program. A portion of the profits from the sale go to LLS. As of 05FEB19 they/we have donated $802,142.79
